Completely agree, didn't violate the spirit of the rule. Should've been blown dead quicker, but whatever. No immediate scoring chance there.

Why are the Boston Globe media calling Bruins fans selling PK Subban TShirts with a porch monkey just "Innocent fans" as well as citing the United States having Freedom of Speech, like We dont.

Really? That's sad. And I think considered a hate propaganda in Canada.

Anyways, good call Stewie!

A rule adaptation I'd love to see at higher levels would be to extend the 3rd period by the duration of a penalty incurred by a team with a one-goal lead. In other words, the trailing team gets a full power play opportunity. Puts a more reasonable weapon in the hand of the referee and makes it more likely that the last minute is played and called like the rest of the game. Requires an incremental game clock, though, so I understand the impediments to this would be non-trivial from a cost/technical perspective. Otherwise it's analogous to stoppage time in soccer, which often gets extended a bit by a referee if she thinks the leading team is deliberately slowing play (e.g., USA vs. Brazil in the recent women's World Cup).

I agree with just getting an offensive zone face-off. But did Boston even get that? I thought the puck was dropped outside the blue line.

excellent idea... and would have the intended effect of taking that "clever play" out of the minds of the players... or give the choice to the team trailing to have the full power play or a penalty shot.
